Three simple steps

How to measure your golf grip size

01 / PRINT

A4. Actual size.

Download the original PDF and print page 1 in A4 portrait at 100%. Switch off “Fit to page” and “Shrink oversized pages”. Keep page 2 as your reference.

02 / CHECK

Check before you measure.

Place a standard bank card vertically inside the dashed outline. Both edges should match. You can also check that the wrist baseline to the 10 cm mark measures exactly 10 cm. If it does not, reprint with corrected settings.

03 / MEASURE

Find your starting size.

Place your upper hand on the club—usually your glove hand—palm up on the page. Align your wrist crease with the thick baseline and your middle finger with the dashed guide. Read the band at your fingertip.

Measure from your wrist crease to the tip of your middle finger. These are the rounded centimetre bands on the Regrip chart.

Near a boundary, or between the listed measurements? Try the neighbouring sizes. Hand shape, grip design and personal preference all affect your final fit.

Your grip sizing questions

Standard vs midsize golf grips: which should I try?

Start with your hand measurement. If you are near the standard–midsize boundary, compare both on a club before changing your whole set. Look for a comfortable, secure hold. Texture, material and shape also change how a grip feels.

What if I am between grip sizes?

Try the sizes either side. Extra build-up tape can make a smaller grip feel fuller, but it can also change firmness. Wrap counts are not a universal size conversion. Try one club before committing to a full set.

Which hand should I measure?

Measure your upper hand on the club: usually the left hand for a right-handed golfer, and the right hand for a left-handed golfer. This is usually your glove hand.

Can I use the chart on my phone or computer screen?

Use the original PDF printed at the verified scale, or measure with a physical ruler. Screen dimensions and zoom settings can change the apparent size. Print the PDF itself, rather than a screenshot or this web page.

Can I use my glove size instead?

Glove size can give you a rough cross-check. Measuring your hand is more useful if glove brands fit you differently. Always confirm your choice by holding a grip.

Does this chart work for putter grips or JumboMax?

This chart is a starting guide for conventional swing grips. Choose putter grips separately. JumboMax has its own sizing system; use the JumboMax sizing guide for those models.
